OPT-IN is a multidisciplinary home for Ohio professionals dedicated to the safe, ethical, and effective advancement of psychedelic-assisted therapies. Membership is open to Ohio-based therapists, prescribers, researchers, educators, and advocates who are psychedelic-informed, trained, or simply psychedelic-friendly, by moderator review. There is no fee, no public directory and no marketing, only a confidential room full of colleagues.

3.1 Who it is for

A conversation across disciplines

  • Therapists, social workers, and counselors — Ohio LPCC, LISW, IMFT, and licensed psychologists — practicing ketamine‑assisted psychotherapy or offering preparation and integration
  • Medical professionals — MD, DO, APRN/PMHNP, PA — administering or overseeing treatment
  • Researchers, educators, and advocates
  • Psychedelic‑informed, trained, or simply psychedelic‑friendly; allied professionals by review

3.2 What the moderated group offers

Professional exchange, with clear boundaries

  • A private discussion group for exchanging clinical wisdom, discussing emerging research, and supporting one another
  • Periodic video calls and in‑person gatherings
  • Alerts when Ohio boards or legislators act, or open comment
  • Resources, events, and training shared for the collective; no client‑identifying information, no advertising

3.3 Shared values

Community standards

To keep the space professional, safe, and supportive, members align with five standards. They are the same standards published on the group itself.

Legal and ethical integrity

The network is dedicated to clinical and legal applications of psychedelic therapies. Discussion of sourcing illegal substances or unsanctioned activities is prohibited, and members uphold the ethical codes of their Ohio licensing boards at all times.

Absolute confidentiality

Rich clinical consultation is welcome; client privacy comes first. Cases are discussed as general themes or composite vignettes only, never with specific or identifying details.

Collaborative learning

Curiosity and the exchange of knowledge are the point. Whether discussing established evidence or exploring novel theories, members say which is which.

Community over commerce

A space for sharing resources, events, and training that benefit the collective. Contribution, not direct sales or advertisement.

Respectful dialogue

Diverse professional backgrounds and viewpoints are welcome. Engagement is collegial, constructive, and kind.

We ask for the minimum. No license number, no practice details. Use the name and email you are comfortable with, and include a line about your professional role and where in Ohio you work; a moderator confirms the rest by conversation, not by form.

What to expect

  • Open the group page and choose “Ask to join group” (a Google account is required)
  • A moderator reviews each request
  • New members’ first posts are held for moderation
  • Anyone can see that the group exists; only members can read conversations or see who belongs

I understand the group is confidential: cases are discussed as general themes or composite vignettes only, with no client-identifying information; members and their practices are not identified outside the group; and nothing shared inside it is repeated outside it.
