§1 Mission
Why the network exists
OPT-IN exists so that Ohioans doing psychedelic therapy and integration work are not doing it alone.
OPT-IN, the Ohio Psychedelic Therapy & Integration Network, is a free, moderated professional network for Ohio therapists, prescribers, researchers, educators, and advocates working with psychedelic and ketamine-assisted therapy. We are not a clinic, not a training company, and not a directory. Licensed members hold their own licenses, carry their own scope, and answer to their own boards. Researchers, educators, advocates, and integration practitioners are members on the same footing, under the same confidentiality. The network is dedicated to clinical and legal applications of psychedelic therapies. We add what’s missing in solo practice work: others doing and shaping this work in this state.
Much of the licensed work today is ketamine-assisted therapy, delivered by therapists in collaboration with prescribers. Much of the integration work follows experiences that happened elsewhere. As Ohio’s picture changes at the CSWMFT, Nursing, and Medical Boards and in the General Assembly, we make sure practitioners hear about it early, understand it precisely, and have a place to say what they think.
§2 What the network does
Four functions
2.1
Peer community
A moderated group for Ohio therapists, prescribers, researchers, educators, and advocates. Consultation norms, no client-identifying information, no advertising.
2.2
Regulatory tracking
We follow the Ohio CSWMFT, Nursing, and Medical Boards, the General Assembly, and federal action, and keep the Ohio Landscape current.
2.3
Gatherings
Periodic in-person meetings across Ohio. Small rooms and long conversations between colleagues, with nothing for sale.
2.4
Advocacy
We give public comment and testimony to Ohio’s three boards and talk with legislators ahead of the state law FDA-approved psychedelics will require.
§3 Relationship to CHAMPPS
Two groups with shared roots
Alongside CHAMPPS
Columbus Holistic and Mindful Psychedelic Peer Support (CHAMPPS) is a peer-support community for people who want to talk honestly about healing, psychedelic experiences, and integration. OPT-IN grew alongside it and shares many of its values, and some of its people. The two are separate groups that support each other: CHAMPPS is a community of peers and OPT-IN is a network of practitioners.
CHAMPPS welcomes veterans, trauma survivors, and community members, and no one needs a psychedelic experience to join its peer circles and mindful practices. If you are looking for peer support rather than a practitioner network, the CHAMPPS site is the place to start.
§4 Questions
Common questions
4.1
Who can join OPT-IN?
Ohio therapists (LPCC, LISW, IMFT, licensed psychologists), prescribers (MD, DO, APRN/PMHNP, PA), researchers, educators, advocates, and integration practitioners who are psychedelic-informed, trained, or simply psychedelic-friendly, and allied professionals by review. A moderator confirms by conversation that you are in Ohio and doing this work. There is no fee.

Does OPT-IN provide psychedelic therapy or referrals?
No. OPT-IN is a practitioner network, not a provider, clinic, training company, or directory. It offers no therapy, medical advice, or treatment referrals. If you are in crisis, call or text 988. If you are looking for care, the Ohio Landscape explains what is legal in Ohio now.
4.3
Is psychedelic therapy legal in Ohio?
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is practiced legally: ketamine is FDA-approved as an anesthetic and prescribed off-label for psychiatric use by Ohio prescribers, with CSWMFT licensees providing psychotherapy within their scope. Psilocybin, MDMA, and LSD remain federally Schedule I, and Ohio has no regulated-access program.

How is the Ohio Landscape kept current?
A network member reviews it after each CSWMFT, Nursing, and Medical Board meeting and after federal action, separates published rules from matters still under review, links the underlying authorities, and dates every update. It is general information, not legal or medical advice.

How do I reach OPT-IN?
Email info@ohiopsychedelictherapy.com. Questions about membership, gatherings, and corrections to the Ohio Landscape all go to the same address; membership requests themselves go through the Google Group linked from Join the Network. A moderator replies. Please do not include client-identifying information.

Who keeps it going
OPT-IN has no officers or board.
A few people answer the email, moderate the Google Group, and keep the Ohio Landscape current. They are listed here so you know who you are talking to.

Jay Karr

Jay Karr is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (LPCC-S) and National Certified Counselor in Columbus, Ohio. He has provided ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) since 2022 through Reclaim Your Path, and group KAP since 2024 as co-founder of LuminaThera. His clinical work is depth-oriented, focusing on trauma and trauma-related challenges including developmental and attachment trauma, and on relational work including couples. He trains and presents on KAP and ethics, including for the Ohio CSWMFT Board and Journey Clinical’s clinician cohorts. He received the Ohio Counseling Association Professional Leadership Award in 2025.

Selah Moss

Co-founder, OPT-IN · Moderator, Google Group · Founder, Moss & Moon Counseling
Selah Moss is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Nurse (RN) in Columbus, Ohio, and founder of Moss & Moon Counseling. Her work focuses on trauma healing, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, psychedelic integration, and spiritual exploration.
As co-founder of OPT-IN, she works to expand education about psychedelic therapies, reduce stigma, and improve access to safe, ethical care. She is especially committed to connecting providers across Ohio around integrity, collaboration, and continued learning.

Britney A. Cirullo
MA, LPCC-S, BCN · she/her
Owner and Founder, Alternative Therapeutics
Britney Cirullo is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (LPCC-S) and Board Certified in Neurofeedback (BCN). She founded Alternative Therapeutics in 2018 to bring neuroscience, neurofeedback, and integrative mental health care to Northeast Ohio. She has a background in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling.
Her practice serves children, adolescents, and adults with trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming care, including counseling, EMDR, neurofeedback, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP). Her approach is grounded in neuroplasticity, the brain’s capacity to change in response to experience.
